Asics Gel-Hockey Neo 3 Women’s Shoe
The GEL-Hockey Neo 3 has been designed and developed for fast movements on the hockey field. Catering to quick and agile players, it has a low profile and great responsiveness.
The Gel-Hockey Neo 3 Shoe is made with a synthetic Overlay upper which offers a stable and supportive fit across the foot. This will help to keep the foot securely in place and will improve overall comfort. Additional eyelets have been added to the lacing system which allows for a tighter and higher fastening of the shoe which can also improve stability and comfort. Padding has been added to the tongue and heel cuff which will allow these areas to sit closely against the skin without causing chafe and discomfort. A Pguard has been placed at the front of the shoe. This is a reinforced rubber compound which will retain the structural integrity of the shoe and offer much-needed protection to the front of the foot. An EVA sock liner has been placed across the footbed which can mould to the foot shape to improve fit and comfort. This can also be removed and replaced with medical orthotics if needed.
The midsole is made from SoLyte which is a lighter material than the one that is commonly found in other Asics shoes. This enhances comfort and durability but also helps to attenuate shock and helps to prevent aches and pains being caused when the foot hits the ground. A GEL cushioning system has been placed at the rear and forefoot areas of the midsole. This attenuates shock during impact and toe-off phases and allows movement in multiple planes as the foot transitions through the gait cycle. Another key feature used on the midsole is a DuoMax Support system. This is a dual-density midsole system which is positioned to enhance support and stability, positioned sport specifically.
AHAR+ rubber has been chosen to construct the outsole which uses studs to improve grip and stability. The studs on the lateral side are slightly bigger for better traction while turning. Flex grooves have been placed along the outsole which will promote more efficient and aggressive turns and forward movements. A Trusstic System has also been used which reduces the weight of the sole unit while retaining the structural integrity of the shoes.
