Synthetic Leather Upper
Synthetic leather uppers will encase each foot in durable comfort. Mesh elements increase airflow to create a better, healthier environment for your feet to thrive in. Overlays surround the foot in increased stability and structure; they help to anchor you to the midsole and reduce in-shoe slippage so that you can enjoy smooth, distraction-free strides. The PGuard, a reinforced rubber/resin compound, wraps the toes and medial forefoot to improve abrasion-resistance, increasing the shoe’s durability whilst defending your feet against sweeping shots. Two layers of memory foam in the heel collar combine to mould to the wearer’s foot, creating a truly personalised feel and fit; supplying soft support whilst reducing the risk of rubbing and blisters (because we know how those can ruin your day).
Solyte resides in the midsole to provide feathery cushioning and enhanced durability. Lighter in weight than ASICS’ standard EVA and SpEVA, Solyte helps to spare your joints as you sprint down onto hard, unforgiving pitch surfaces. Embedded within the midsole platform, are the Rearfoot and Forefoot GEL Cushioning Systems. The silicone-like material effectively absorbs shock and protects your feet from high-impact strikes, leaving you at ease to take on the competition. High-abrasion rubber adorns the medial rear of the midsole, increasing grip during drags and slides.
Impact Guidance System technology is a technical design, based on the philosophy of the human body, that allows the foot to perform a more natural heel-to-toe movement. This technology is based on 3 principles: Contact, MidStance and Propulsion. Asics’ design philosophy employs linked componentry to enhance the foot’s natural gait from heel strike to toe-off. The Trusstic System increases stability; it reinforces the middle part of the sole, stopping it from twisting excessively and therefore diminishing the risk of the inward/outward rolling that might cause injury. A high-grip outsole completes this hockey shoe, its moulded lugs supplying biting traction across every pitch.
