Asics GEL-INNOVATE 7 Women’s Running Shoe
Your shorter, everyday runs are more comfortable in this lightweight running shoe. You’ll find sticking to you running schedule is easier with a shoe that helps stop your foot rolling inwards too much and cushions every landing.
The GEL-INNOVATE 7 has a newly designed upper from the previous. Asics have stripped the upper down and reconstructed it with using fewer seams and material overlays for a reduced overall weight. The result is a shoe that fits better and a more lightweight upper, without compromising the shoe’s support. Constructed with breathable mesh, it ensures needed ventilation to the feet to keep them feeling cool and comfortable throughout a run. The California Slip Lasting is stitched around a canvas or EVA board and directly attached to the midsole which provides stability and comfort.
Fitted with a plush collar and tongue provides the wearer with ultimate comfort, while the removable EVA sockliner also adds added comfort as it moulds to the shape of the foot. The sockliner can also be removed to accommodate a medical orthotic. Lastly, the shoe features 3M Reflective material on the shoe, it provides visibility in low light conditions.
Equipped with Duomax in the midsole, it is a higher density EVA material which helps to reduce the effect of overpronation and also enhances the normal movement of the foot. The dual-density midsole system is positioned to enhance support and stability and is positioned sport-specifically.
The Rearfoot GEL Cushioning System and SpeVa midsole technology ensure maximum comfort to the wearer. The Rearfoot GEL Cushioning System is a silicone-based cushioning system which provides a lower shock when the heel impacts on the ground offering better cushioning. While the SpeVa midsole technology is a material that improves bounce-back characteristics and decreases midsole breakdown when running. Some of the features that provide this technology are, better shock attenuation and it improves durability.
The outsole of the shoe features the Asics Propulsion Trusstic System which is a supportive shank which is implemented into the outsole and extends from the arch to the forefoot. The plastic shank utilised on the outsole channels energy to provide a forward propulsion. It works by mirroring the functions of the foot’s ligaments, specifically the plantar fascia. This transforms the foot from a flexible structure, for shock absorption through the heel strike and mid-stance, into a strong, firm lever to provide forward propulsion. As a result, the Propulsion Trusstic System helps to spring the runner forward with every stride.
The outsole is made with solid rubber which provides enhanced durability and traction while the AHAR (Asics High Abrasion Rubber) is a tough rubber compound which is used for heavy contact. This is placed in the high wear areas as it helps cut down on excessive wear.
