Asics Gel Solution Lyte 2 Tennis Shoes
This lightweight and comfortable tennis shoe are designed for aggressive players who love to use the whole court. You get around the court faster with the Propulsion Plate, a technology in the shoe that helps you accelerate and push off. And the new All Court outsole gives you the right amount of grip when you move in any direction. The GEL-Cushioning in the forefoot and heel absorbs ground impact and increases your comfort.
Open Mesh Upper
The upper of the Asics Gel Solution Lyte 2 Tennis Shoe is constructed with an open mesh which provides excellent comfort and breathability. For stability and comfort, this upper is fitted with a California Slip Lasting. The upper is stitched around a canvas or EVA board and directly attached to the midsole.
For enhanced comfort the tennis shoes are fitted with 2 layers of memory foam which lines the collar and moulds to the athlete’s heel, creating a personalised fit while the EVA removable sockliner moulds to the shape of the foot ensuring maximum underfoot cushioning. With a reinforced rubber/resin compound attached to the forefoot, it provide increased durability and protection.
Fitted with SpEVA 55 Lasting which is a midsole material that takes on a new role as a lasting technology for enhanced cushioning and comfort. For added comfort, the midsole is equipped with Solyte which is a lighter weight midsole compound than Asics’ standard EVA and SpEVA and also features enhanced cushioning and durability.
The Asics Gel Cushioning System has been the core technology of Asics footwear, placed within the shoe’s midsole at key impact areas, the Gel Cushioning System works in conjunction with the midsole material to attenuate the shock experienced by the foot from vertical forces in all sporting activities. During a standard run, the foot encounters vertical impact forces normally 3 to 5 times an athlete’s body weight during heel strike. The Gel Cushioning System in the heel attenuates the shock from this. This Rearfoot Gel Cushioning System stabilises the foot during the first phase of the Impact Guidance System (I.G.S). The Gel Cushioning System in the forefoot reduces the loading forces that would normally be applied as the foot moves in propulsion. The Forefoot Gel Cushioning System works in conjunction with the midsole material to reduce the shear force and the forefoot flex grooves to accommodate the pressure as the foot rolls through the "line of progression" to toe-off, the final phase of the I.G.S.
Equipped with a propulsion Trusstic, it mimics the connective tissue in the foot by creating tension as the foot enters the propulsion stage. Lastly, the outsole is made using AHAR+ (Asics High Abrasion Resistant) which ensures maximum traction whether the surface is wet or dry, while delivering enhanced cushioning, durability and ride to the foot.
